2011 Australian Event
The National Indigenous Domestic Violence Conference was held at the Sea World Resort & Theme Park in the Gold Coast, Australia last 17-19 May, 2011. The event was attended by more than two hundred local and international delegates from NGOs and government agencies who were all devoted to highlighting and showcasing successful programs in the area of domestic violence, with the united goal of eradicating domestic violence in society through the empowerment of people and workers in the field of Domestic Violence. There were many Indigenous grassroots groups and community programs presented during the conference which addressed the high incidence rates of domestic violence within the Indigenous communities.

The Global Event
The 2010 Global Domestic Violence Conference was held at Prince Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last November 1-3, 2010. The conference was attended by community groups, government and non-government agencies (NGO's), university scholars, migrant program managers, religious groups, domestic violence workers, counselors and interested individuals who were all devoted to highlighting and showcasing successful programs against domestic violence. The event brought together people from all walks of life from all corners of the world.
